An active shooter wearing a bulletproof vest (unconfirmed) stood at the front of a movie theater in Aurora, Colorado and fired on movie goers.  Before he started shooting, he threw an unspecified canister which is believed to be either smoke or more likely tear gas/CS.  Initial reports indicate the 24 year old suspect had at least two weapons (one handgun and one rifle) and potentially a third handgun.  Area hospitals are reporting fifteen people were killed in the attack and an additional 50 other individuals were wounded.  The Aurora, Colorado Police Chief reported they have one male in custody and do not believe there are any additional suspects at the scene.  Lastly, local media in Aurora is reporting the male suspect claimed to have unidentified explosives at his home or in his car and police are searching the theater and his home for any potential explosive devices.  We will provide additional information as it becomes available.
