Security Training Services
MSA has developed specialized training services encompassing all aspects of facility and perimeter security. We provide training in a wide-range of areas including Counterterrorism, Maritime, and Tactical Security as well as X-Ray Screening and Explosives Recognition. MSA's expert, certified instructors use customized training modules, realistic training aids and a hands-on approach to provide your personnel with the highest level of security training services available. MSA has designed a security training program in each of the following areas:
Counterterrorism Training: Focuses on providing an analytical view of the terror threat on the strategic and tactical levels for security personnel and managers to develop ways to make protected spaces hostile to terrorist surveillance and/or operations. These courses are customized to fit into the standing security processes and personnel deployments.
Intelligence Analysis Training: Provides basic intelligence analysis instruction for new analysts while developing and providing advanced, specialized course material for experienced junior and senior analysts.
Emergency Rescue & Tactical Security Services: Provides security personnel with the range of skills to execute emergency rescue operations and conduct security work in high threat areas. Instructors for these courses have extensive experience in law enforcement emergency service units and/or military force protection assignments in hostile zones.
Maritime Training: Gives students the skills and knowledge to conduct maritime security missions. These courses are derived from coordination with subject matter experts from the United States Merchant Marine Academy, Global Maritime and Transportation School.
IED/Explosives Recognition Training: Essential for x-ray screeners and any other security personnel, these courses alert security personnel to the key elements of explosive devices for rapid threat detection and mitigation. Training centers on the Power Initiator Switch methodology and is taught by certified law enforcement (active and retired) bomb technicians and/or bomb squad commanders.
X-Ray Screener Training: Instructs the basic screener in machine operations, image interpretation, and explosives recognition. A well-trained screener is the cornerstone to a successful explosive detection program.
Active Shooter Response Training: Provides training geared towards the private sector in the planning, prevention, response and recovery to active shooter and workplace violence events.
Security Guard Training: Hosted at MSA Security facilities or at client sites, we can train security personnel in required courses such as –

- NYS DCJS Enhanced Security Guard Training
- New Jersey Security Industry Registration Act Training
