Demonstrations relating to Israel and Palestine continued in North America and Europe over the past 24 hours. In Helsinki, Finland, police detained 54 individuals for participating in an unauthorized demonstration. In Glasgow, Scotland, demonstrators blocked access to the BAE Systems shipyard. Demonstrators also blocked access to the defense contractor facilities in Bournemouth, Brighton, Lancashire, Wimborne, and Samlesbury. Nationwide demonstrations are scheduled in the United States for Friday, December 8th as part of a “Shut It Down 4 Palestine” event. These demonstrations are likely to result in clashes with law enforcement and counter-demonstrators. Demonstrations will likely continue to disrupt business operations, supply chains, distribution centers, and vehicular transportation near high-traffic buildings

MSA Intel will continue to monitor the situation and provide relevant updates.

  • Monitor local news for reports of demonstrations or other disruptions
  • Monitoring social media or online forums and acting upon credible threats and trends will allow security details and site managers to adequately prepare to deter any threats.

    • Conducting security system tests to ensure all systems are fully operational.
    • Creating an evacuation plan in the event of widespread civil unrest or other events that could jeopardize safety.
    • Reviewing key control and all emergency protocols with members of the organization.
