Demonstrations relating to Israel and Palestine continued in several cities in North America and Australia over the past 24 hours. In Merrimack, New Hampshire, police arrested three demonstrators for spray-painting and smashing windows at Elbit Systems, a defense contractor. Demonstrators also blocked traffic into the parking lot and climbed on the building’s roof. In Sydney, Australia, demonstrators gathered at Port Botany in opposition of an Israeli-owned shipping company. Clashes with police were reported and several demonstrators were forcibly removed. Unofficial reports indicate that police arrested multiple individuals. Demonstration activity in North America, Europe, and other select countries will continue for the foreseeable future. These events will potentially disrupt supply chains, distribution centers, and vehicular transportation around government buildings and main thoroughfares. Organizers will likely continue to plan events at high-visibility locations, such as government buildings and college campuses. These demonstrations could likely result in clashes with law enforcement and counter-demonstrators.
