MSA Intel

As the Israel- Palestine conflict continues, global demonstrations and counterdemonstrations continue to occur in support of Israel and Palestine. In the last 24 hours, protests have been reported in the United States, Jordan, Algeria, Oman, Malaysia, and Argentina. Demonstrators peacefully gathered outside Vice President Kamala Harris’ home in Los Angeles and Rep. Nancy Pelosi’s office at the San Francisco Federal Building. Several hundred people attended a demonstration in New York City, specifically calling for the release of hostages. In Dallas, Texas, several hundred people gathered to protest alleged bias regarding conflicting news coverage. The frequency and scale of demonstrations are expected to increase over the weekend in response to the explosion at the Al-Ahli Hospital in Gaza on October 17, any major escalations of the conflict, and any further delays of humanitarian aid. Demonstrations targeting public officials in the U.S. are likely in response to President Biden’s request for additional aid and funds for Israel.

MSA Intel will continue to monitor the situation and provide relevant updates.
